Ninety years, a long history, of photographing the life and work of people.

From politicians, athletes, business people, families, and lovers, to beautiful places and large industrial enterprises.  We have captured life for a long time, and it’s what we love to do.

  • In 1930, the studio became New Paramount Studios, to differentiate itself from the motion picture company.

  • During World War II, New Paramount Studios was an official photographer for the Canadian government and photographed a large number of Canadian troops.

  • New Paramount worked with the Canadian government to develop colour passports.  And was the first studio to offer this service.

  • New Paramount has had studios in Ottawa, Toronto, and Hamilton.

  • We were the first studio to incorporate colour photography into the mainstream market.

  • In the late 1990's, New Paramount Studios began preparing for its move into the digital era.
